Reduce Smoking on College/University Campuses

Created by J.P. on June 11, 2015

Although the government has done a lot to make college possible for those with disabilities, smoking is still a major barrier. As a college student with Cystic Fibrosis it can be a challenge to get from class to class without having to walk near second hand cigarette smoke. Smoke can trigger a coughing fit or make it difficult to breathe, which means that I don't get everything that I could out of my classes. I know that going smoke free would be difficult, but we at least need separate smoking areas to maintain the true spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
