Socialism is- and always has been ever since the events of the cold war- a highly sensitive subject in america, especially amongst republican/conservatives. I believe this is a time to change this mass stigma surrounding the issue and cease the McCarthyist attitude that is still present in society. This would be a petition to allow better education of the subject of socialism and encourage children to make their own minds up on their political views and not feel pressurized by a hyper-capitalist society to think a certain way.
