The US Postal Service has been losing money for years. It is not operating efficiently, and cannot, considering new technologies. Most people would not even care if deliveries were reduced to once per week, but some might have problems with a reduction to that level.
In the interest of saving money and operating more efficiently, the delivery districts should be divided into two groups, with alternating delivery between them on a daily basis, switching schedules every other week. This should reduce the labor needed for delivery services to half the current levels, continue Saturday delivery every other week, and keep delivery personnel on a full time employment schedule.
