Reduce the wages of Politicians. Serving in government should be for civic pride and duty to one's country.

Created by P.H. on January 12, 2013

Serving as a Congressman or woman should be based off of a want to serve one's country and the people that voted for them. It should not mean a huge paycheck, especially when so many in the country work for far less.

Politicians should serve to the benefit of the people, and as such, should only take a modest salary. Taxpayers should not have to pay such high salaries for Congress, especially when the average American income is far less.

Reform should be made to drop these huge salaries. Money alone should not be the reason for someone to get into Politics.

During a time when Americans groan at a "do nothing" Congress, the American people have a right to hit Politicians where it hurts; their wallets.
