U.S. Army veterans put their lives on hold so that ordinary citizens may live out theirs in peace. When they return from war, they now face homelessness is ever growing cases, long lines and even longer claim times at their local VA hospitals, and the stigma of a country that has all but forgotten about them. The Dept. of Veterans Affairs needs a major reform. Their labyrinthian rules, incompetent staff, and overall disdain for veterans is counter-intuitive to what veterans need. Veterans returning from overseas should be given the accolades they have earned, many times over.
