Reduce the yearly salary of the President of the United States to $1.00

In response to the continuing economic unrest and general instability and in that the needs of his and his family are provided for as part of his Office, we respectfully request that the yearly salary of the President of the United States be reduced to $1.00. This would not only serve as a gesture of solidarity to those citizens that are suffering, but as an example of the just and ethical conduct that should be the rule rather than the exception to public service.
