Reducing military budget with eliminating needless expenditures

Created by W.S. on February 13, 2016

by returning service members that are not assigned on Sea-Duty to the installation housing, be it ‘Dormitory’ or ‘Barracks’ as the case may be. Countless millions can be saved by eliminating the ‘housing’ and’ ‘rations’ allowances. Indirect savings - 1) by being restricted to the installations, less fuel would be used by personnel in transportation costs required to live off installation. In these troubling times, it could be more beneficial to have active duty personnel on-installation, reducing the amount of time to assemble for ‘emergency situations.’ 2) The demand on services such as fuel, utilities and other such essentials for off-installation residence would be reduced, thus saving environmental aspects. The change would demonstrate comradely devotion to duty.
