Tensions with North Korea are dangerously nearing a point that any misjudgement could lead to war. It is rapidly reaching the point where it will be difficult for North Korea not to take action. Kim Jung Un seems to be modeling his actions after his grandfather - Kim Il Sung. Perhaps, doing as we did during the 1994 nuclear crisis, sending Pres Carter or Pres Clinton to talk with the leadership may help reduce tension and allow Kim to back off the cliff without loosing face. They will have to be empowered to give something (food aid, etc) in return for reducing tensions which will allow Kim to back out of this without going to war to "save face" It will allow us to have some contact with the leadership and assess what is going on over there. Currently,neither are clear. Needs to be soon
