The Reduction of the amount of homework high school students receive from Hillsborough County High Schools

Created by B.T. on September 29, 2016

As many of you know; parents, students, and even family affected by this, that the Hillsborough County Public schools distribute a large amount of homework to high school students. Whether it's regular, honors, or AP classes, or grade 9-12. I propose a change to the school board of Florida to limit the amount of homework teachers are supposed to give as a part of their curriculum. When a student is always bombarded with homework it leads to unsocializing at home, because of less time to spend with family and creates mental stress which leads to more social problems. I'm sure students would love to do more things with their time, but with an 8 hour school day, 4 hours or more of homework, and then a suggested 8 hours of sleep ON TOP of extracurricular, that nearly adds up to a whole day.
