Reenact the Works Progress Administration.

In order to counter increasing economic inequality and the exploitation of the working class, the federal government must reenact the Works Progress Administration, created within the New Deal. After the Great Depression, such a program gave millions of workers secure jobs, building up infrastructure and public facilities. Now, as the distribution of wealth and income reaches an unprecedented level of inequality, the working class has been reduced to low-paying service jobs that do not provide such security. Due to the Great Recession and the forces of globalization, it has become harder for workers to gain capital in the private sector. It is within the federal government's best interests to provide living wages for millions of American workers in this uncertain time.
