Is important to see that art, architecture, and artifacts represent the very essence of human ideas, culture, and progress. They show us who we are, were, and will become and are evidence of all humankind's greatest achievements. They not only represent a culture or a nation but also the peoples that are part of them. Put simply, items of great anthropological significance are as sacred as human life!
In light of ISIS' assault on ancient objects (a cultural genocide) one must see the grave implication of allowing a group of people to deface, desecrate, and obliterate such didactic and nationally important monuments. The MFAA was meant to support, protect, and rebuild the sanctity of such things and must, therefore, be mobilized once more in the Middle East to protect our world identities
