Reestablish the US technological superiority with NASA

NASA needs to be allocated more money and specific goals to return to the moon and Mars and can not wait for private industry to catch up in order to take over where NASA once was. The US will fall behind many other countries. China has recently begun the initial connections for their own space station with potential plans to go to the moon while the US is currently not even capable to get a man into space. During the Apollo program many new technologies were discovered and implemented which even led to new companies like Intel Corp. being formed. Yes, we are in difficult economic times, but there is no time better than now to challenge NASA and inspire the youth to do something big. This invigorated NASA will accelerate technological innovation and improve the economy in the long term.
