Reevaluate the "Cost of Living" index used by the Social Security Administration.

Created by M.D. on January 30, 2014

We the people of the United States of America in an effort to provide sustenance for our retired and disabled citizens petition the United States Government to reevaluate the "Cost of Living" index used by the Social Security Administration in determining the minimum amount retired and Disabled Americans receive on a monthly basis to sustain life. When the Federal minimum wage increases this causes prices of goods and services to rise as well. When these things happen Social security checks are not raised and these people are forced to pay more for goods and services they already can not afford. Currently the cost of living index equals less than a person earns at minimum wage for a 2 week period. It is already a issue that Americans can not sustain a living on the current minimum wage.
