We believe that the response made by the drug czar did not properly and honestly respond to the petition titled "Legalize and regulate marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol", one of the most popular and quickly endorsed petitions on "We the People".
It is important to note that the petition did not simply call for the legalization of Marijuana but specifically drew comparisons to a drug (alcohol) that is legal for public purchase and consumption.
We request that the drug czar reevaluate his response to the initial petition to regulate marijuana and specifically address each of the points brought up in this article on NORML's website:
