to reevaluate the wisdom and justice in deeming former felons ineligible to vote and acquire life sustaining employment.

Created by E.A. on July 15, 2015

There are over 5 million felons in this nation. More than 600,000 will be released in 2015. What are the benefits of not demanding they each find and maintain life sustaining employment? They are legally hindered from gaining employment that makes them contribute to society. They are left with little or no means of support, which eventually pulls them back into prison.Consider having felonies appear on background checks only if it relates to the specific job being sought. If a violent offender wants authority, etc. The Preamble to the Constitution boasts the fact that promoting THE GENERAL WELFARE AND securing THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERTY(freedom) would FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION(our country). Appears they were right. Voting rights should be taken for voter fraud only. Nobody currently benefits.
