Whereas the proper functioning of representative democracy, as currently enjoyed by the people of these United States, requires the losing side in a political contest to accept their loss, and the results of said contest, and Whereas the proliferation of petitions to secede on this website are indicative of persons unwilling to accept their loss, and unwilling to allow for the proper functioning of our representative democracy,and whereas the criminal act of sedition is defined in law as overt conduct,such as speech and organization, that tends toward insurrection against the established order,subversion of the constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority, now, we do hereby petition for criminal prosecution for sedition these aforementioned petitioners.
