We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

A referendum added to the next national election ballot requiring term limits for members of Congress

Created by G.C. on August 02, 2016

We the people, request a national ballot vote on whether Congress should be restricted to term limits. These limits should be no more than six years.

We also request that benefits available to members of Congress upon the end of their term be limited. Benefits should be reasonable & customary to those offered employees working for large companies the same amount of time.

We no longer believe our elected officials are voting in our best interest due to, but not limited to:

1) The amount of money required to run an adequate campaign.

2) The large donations and sway from the very large number of lobbyists.

3) Lobbyists writing legislation and/or amendments which benefit their interests and which are often accepted and passed by Congress.

This matter should be left to the people.
