My name is Zachary Werlhof. In 2011 I had Grade 2 Astrocytoma Brain Cancer. At the time I had straight Medical and had brain surgery at University of San Francisco in CA. I just had a follow up with my neuro-oncologist on Monday, March 24, I was informed that my cancer was back and growing. I asked if I could do Chemo, Radiation or both. I was informed that brain surgery again, was my best option. They submitted a request to my insurance for authorization that Friday.
I was informed today that my insurance declined my request for my Neurosurgeon even though I'm already an established patient of UCSF because, UCSF is out of network. UC Davis is the network hospital. This is my brain and cancer. This is my life! Please repeal in network hospitals for established patients of others!
