Reform Affirmative Action for the college process so the system is no longer based on race but on financial well being

Created by J.K. on February 26, 2014

Affirmative Action currently discriminates against the majority of students in schools. Money plays a huge role in where someone attends college, currently schools will give way more money to a minority with lower grades than a majority student with great grades. My example is that where I live a Hispanic girl who's father is a millionaire qualified for half off tuition when she only had a 3.0 gpa and a 22 act score. I only received a scholarship of 5,000 dollars when I had a 3.6 gpa and a 27 on my ACT. My current financial well being will not allow me to go to school there with this low of a scholarship. I know it is far fetched but this is discriminating against me, I receive less scholarship money because of my race. Money given out should be based on an individuals financial well being
