The current education system in our country is becoming very old, and ineffective. Through this system, we have been forcing the youth of the nation to spend almost all of their time in a broken system which doesn't succeed in teaching them much, and only succeeds in adding unnecessary stress in their lives. The current system wastes time and money on methods that have obviously not been working for quite some time. Instead of responding to each generation scoring lower by forcing them to attend more school, make the school that they attend worthwhile and effective.
One idea for this would be to make the later grades optional, so that the students who are actually motivated may continue their education, and the lack of unmotivated students will allow tax money to be put to use elsewhere.
