Compared to other nations, America's public schools are far from first. Over several months, I have heard several key points from both students and teachers that they would like to see changed.

Performance Standards
More Choice and Charter Schools
Private School Vouchers
Trimester School Years
For America to become a 'right to work' nation
Increased pay for the good teachers, not for ones with more tenure
