reform and regulate the law enforcement system.

Created by A.P. on July 17, 2014

We want to make sure that law enforcement does it's best to serve the people, not itself. There are far too many instances where police officers abuse their power and commit crimes against civilians, without consequence. This is not to say that all cops are bad. Many uphold the law and do not abuse their powers. But this isn't a standard for good cops, it's a standard for an OK cop, the bare minimum for any type of law enforcement. For that reason, these are the changes we would like to see:
1. Psych evaluations for all potential officers, in order to remove those likely to abuse their powers
2. If a police officer is involved in a possible crime, investigation is to be done by federal, not local law enforcement
3. Stricter standards and consequences for officers who abuse their positions.
