Long before Citizens United was erroneously found to be Constitutional, companies of varying size and wealth have influenced the political landscape of the United States and have bent the arms of politicians into supporting legislation that, at most times, clash with the desires of the constituents whose votes are expected to count for more than just a simple political victory. Politicians have both fallen prey to the coercive strategies of large corporations and have played directly into the hand of business leaders who promise campaign funds at the expense of voter loyalty and voter expectations.
Please, Mr. President, will you act on this incredible issue of political inequality in our nation? Can something be proposed, enacted, or repealed to further promote Equal Representation?
