We request legislation to limit campaign funds, according to the following rules:
Only one campaign fund may be used to support any candidate.
Only registered voters for an election may contribute to a campaign.
Contributions are limited to 100 times the federal minimum wage as of January 1 of that year.
No candidate may contribute more than 100 times the federal minimum wage to his own campaign.
No public monies may be contributed to any campaign.
No campaign fund may be created, nor contributions made or received, before 90 days prior to an election.
No monies may be spent for the benefit of a campaign other than that available through the candidate's established campaign fund.
All assets held in a campaign fund must be surrendered to the treasury on the day after the election.
