We are concerned that special interest wealth unduly influences campaigns.
Campaign finance laws should only allow individuals to contribute political candidates, political party committees, or Political Action Committees (PAC’s), with a limit of $99 per year for each candidate, party or PAC.
Corporations, businesses, industry lobbies, unions and other special interest groups should be prohibited from donating to candidates, political party committees or PAC’s.
Non-political 501(c) groups should be allowed to give a max of $99 per year to a PAC.
PAC’s should disseminate information only, and be prohibited from contributing to candidates or political party committees.
“and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” A. Lincoln
