Social workers from the Child Protective Services are unchecked. There are no effective sanctions to tell them what they can and cannot do. Their motivation is their budget which just like any government agency, they use up as much money as they can and make situations seem grossly larger than they really are in order to secure a larger budget for future fiscal years, it is a waste.
The ombudsman and the civil judges that are in place to protect our liberties are useless to stop the real core issue. Social workers harass and attack parents, slander their names, and tear children from their parents who are not nearly as bad as CPS portrays them to be, then the children go into a cruel and unloving system. CPS is out of control. The government is supposed to protect us not destroy families.
