Please reform how each state handles child support enforcement. There is no rhyme or reason to whom they help/hurt. Virginia is in particular need of reform, now!!!!
How are non-custodial parents expected to support their children? Especially if they aren't given the opportunity and are penalized for delinquent payments over 90 days when late payments are not consecutive and from payment history it can be shown that non-custodial parent is trying to support their child the best way they can.
Also, for non custodial parents who are not trying (have avoided opening a checking/savings account, have avoided working, have moved out of state) to avoid paying their debt. Why are those people never thrown in jail and penalized?
This system goes after those who are really trying!
