Many non-custodial parents are going to jail and getting their driver's license taken away because they are unemployed and can't keep up with the court ordered payments. How are they suppose to find a job if they are being to sent to jail time and time again. It is not easy finding a job with a criminal record. You do the math, do you think it's fair? Many parents are able and willing to provide for their children. But child support is making it hard financially. Yes child support is intended for a fair share financially but when a non-custodial parent is out of work they can only provide for themselves. Just because someone misses a payment doesn't mean they hate their child or are deadbeats. Times are hard sometimes. Work with non-custodial parents for the better not for the worse. Love.
