Reform Civil Forfeiture Laws: Enforce Due Process and Search and Seizure Laws

Created by E.P. on July 01, 2015

The Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture Program allows for the seizing of property, including cash, from US citizens. Local police agencies are confiscating millions in cash, without warrant or arrest, all legal according to the law. See Michigan:

These laws deny us protection against search and seizure, and allow for the deprivation of property without due process. They must change

We respectfully request that President Obama and the Attorney General undertake a thorough review and revision of the laws and policies that promote and allow these unwarranted seizures.
