Reform Collegiate Athletics, specifically football, which eliminates fairness in competition and monopolizes resources.

This Petition will help acknowledge that collegiate athletics, specifically football are monopolized and need reform. While many schools participate in D1 athletics, only certain schools are immediately eligible to participate in high value post season events or 'National Championships'. This limits resources to smaller institutions which are allowed to compete at the Division 1 Level. Thus the competition gap becomes larger as bigger programs continue to use monies to improve while smaller institutions struggle to compete. It is widely recognized that without smaller institutions, the larger institutions would be unable to operate at current financial levels on a yearly basis and overall monies generated by consumers would decrease. Simply put, collegiate athletics are unfair.
