Although our founding fathers had good intentions for omitting a term limit on the members of congress, I believe that this lack of a limit is being abused, leading to career politicians. This is not how a representative government should work; congress should be elected from the people, not from a small pool of "ruling-class" individuals. Term limits would help prevent the "small pool effect" from recurring.
Secondly, members of congress should not be able to vote for their own pay increases. Rather, their pay should be tied to either a median (or mean) pay level for their state or for the entire nation. The government already has or has access to the necessary statistics to support this.
So make it happen.
