Our government should not be immune from making tough decisions when it is unable to operate efficiently and effectively. This petition calls for reducing the House of Representatives from the current 435 members to 218, reducing Senate members from 100 to 50 and reducing their remaining staffs by 25%. Establish 12 year term limits (No Tenure/No Pension), Congress participates in Social Security and the same healthcare system as the American people, members purchase their own retirement plan, Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people, pay will rise by the CPI, all contracts with past and present Congressmen are void. Accomplish this over the next 8 years (two steps/two elections) with the suitable redistricting.
