Reform Congress (Term Limits, Attendance Requirements and an online record of votes)

Created by J.W. on February 19, 2013

"Governments are instituted...deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive...it is the Right of the People to alter".

Congress has not had an approval rating of 50% in over a decade and the current approval rating is 14%. Politicians regularly fail to show up for votes or place votes that are counter to the interests of those they represent and then lie about their voting record. The 22nd Amendment to restricted the President to not more than two terms.

We the people REQUIRE the following steps be taken to return control of Congress to the people; 1) Term limits be immediately implemented, 2) Congressmen be required to vote on not less than 75% of bills put before Congress and their records be made public.
