- Define the amount of time a member of congress is allowed to serve. Set term limits and keep them short (no more than 6-8 years).
- Set pay and make it illegal for congress to make any decision that increases or decreases their pay. Set pay in a way that scales so it never needs to be adjusted. Congress should not be made of rich people who got rich by serving in Congress.
- Define and set benefits equal to other Government employees, no more special treatment.
- Medical benefits expire when you leave. Pay expires when you leave. No more lifetime benefits. At least change it so benefits don't kick in until the retirement age of the working force.
- Make it treason for any member of federal government to accept bribes, gifts, or anything that could be used to influence them.
