Reform of Congressional compensation needs to be implemented to create a more effective and viable branch of government based on the accountability and actions of elected government officials.
A bill creating an incentive based compensation for members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate needs to be created and passed into law as justification for their current and future compensation. The bill should set a minimum salary with the incentive of additional income (bonuses) based on their performance of maintaining a balanced federal budget without impact on entitlement programs, such as Social Security, Medicare, etc. As tax paying citizens we are their employers and they are our employees thus accountable for their voting record of how federal funds are being spent.
