We the People petition the President and congress to reform congressional benefits to fall in line with how our retired veterans are compensated. Veterans are compensated based on the number of years served. Congress members should have to pay into their health care insurance and retirement just as our service men and women do. It is reprehensible that a member of congress is paid far more then a service person that has served and fought in defense of our great nation. Health benefits for our representatives far out way what an injured veteran is entitled to.
This act alone will save the government a substantial amount of money that can be used to pay our nations debts.
