Our Plurality voting system results in a lack of representation for minority views. It only counts votes for the majority winner in each locality, so while equally pervasive opinions do exist, only the country's most popular parties win a voice.
We should adopt a Proportional system to grant representation to minority parties and opinions by appointing officials according to proportions of the different parts of the constituents.
A Congressional Representation Reform Act to enact a Proportional voting system for electing members of the House and Senate will:
Enhance the voice of the people;
Reinvigorate the diverse views of our citizenry;
Grant access to new kinds of solutions born of a synthesis of many views;
More closely estimate our Nation's ideal of e pluribus umum.
