Reform the Controlled Substance Act to remove the unconstitutional authority for the DEA to legislate marijuana law.

Created by B.O. on April 26, 2013

Since Nixon created the DEA in 1972 we stopped spending more on drug treatment and prevention and more on drug enforcement and interdiction through amendments to the Controlled Substance Act that give cops, the DEA, the unconstitutional authority to legislate marijuana. As a result, cops are making overtime on non-violent posessions while murderers and rapists run free.
There is a reason we have three branches of government.
We wouldn't expect a judge to police the streets on his way home. So how does an executive agency such as the DEA get the authority from Congress to write marijuana law? To create asset forfeiture and steal property with weak warrants? To deny medicine?
After 40 years of made-to-fail Drug Wars, America is sick of the lies. Lets sign this petition & END the WARS!
