Reform the copyright system

Created by J.W. on December 13, 2015

The copyright system has gone horribly In 1998, Mickey Mouse was about to enter the public domain. To prevent this from happening, Disney and other companies lobbied Congress to extend the term of copyright for decades. Now that these characters that once belonged to us, now belongs to them (Disney). And because of these laws, nothing special entered the public domain for years. In fact no published work had entered the public domain at all since 1998. Books, songs and even scientific articles are now stuck in copyright. We need you to reform the copyright system and reform the public domain. Hurry, the creativity is at risk!
