Reform Credit Reporting Agency Practices (then, change the system from one of indebtedness to one of freedom from debt)

Created by P.R. on March 27, 2012

The CRAs should be required to:1.List valid phone #'s and addresses on websites/ltrs where live people can be reached. Currently,CRAs are more interested in selling "additional services" than helping consumers w/disputes or being fair.2.RE: disputes-CRAs need to provide proof of investigation-not just that they contacted the debt holder and took their word for it over the objections of the consumer.3.Companies should not be allowed to take "debt write offs", then turn around and sell the debt to someone else who puts it under a different name &acct # & ALSO reports it to the CRA.This results in the same debt being reported unfairly multiple times.Debts should appear 1x only(no matter who owns it)& the 1st date of delinquency should appear from the orig creditor so it is removed correctly.
