Reform the current Welfare program to reduce abuse of the assistance program.

Welfare was intended to offer TEMPORARY support for needy families. The problem is that people are becoming dependent on the program. Our Federal Government has an enormous budget deficit. I purpose helping prevent abuse of the assistance program by requiring all applicants to reapply, if accepted they have a maximum of two years of assistance with no extension.Also weekly job searches to help recipients of assistance to get jobs within a reasonable time frame. By reforming the assistance program we will be able to decrease the deficit by putting time sensitive stipulations on the length of assistance.
