Currently, custody issues are clearly in favor of the female in traditional parental roles. Parents should not be able to intentionally separate or restrain children from a parent with legal rights without the fear of legal action. If a parent wants to be a part of their child's life, the custodial parent should not be allowed to use the child as a pawn or speak ill against the other parent under the threat of law. There should also be custody reforms, as the best interests of the child don't always align with the parent that has more money to spend on legal fees.
