Reform Department of Education law of 2012-2013 stating income transcripts must be present for all tax filers.

Created by R.S. on March 28, 2014

As a student, my annual income is less than refund filing requirement amount. I am promised a $5500 pell grant by FAFSA Department of Education. I filed my taxes for 2012 in December due to address changes, from a previous term at another college. Another W-2 was missing requiring me to file an Amended Tax Return. The original filing was not looked at until 2 months after filing, according to local IRS office representative. Now my availability for a stafford loan has been taken away. After 3 months I am now available to the original Tax Transcript and proof of my final wages, tips, & salary amount of amended. FAFSA office at college is now required by law (2012-2013) to wait until an official transcript arrives. This law need to be reformed to allow students in my situation to acquire aid
