Find a way to improve the testing requirement for schools to include showing improvement from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Also, change the testing requirements for elementary grades to focus of learning, not test scores. Many schools now have to teach a test as apposed to teaching a concept so standardized testing does not improve education, but rather hinders it since test scores are the only part of education taken into consideration. Elementary schools spend more time on what will be on the test and proper test taking procedures rather that being able to allow teachers the latitude to make sure all students are learning. For example, concepts are skipped to learn the most probable answers to test questions.
