Reform the election process and overturn Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.

Created by E.G. on April 03, 2013

The fact that we classify corporations as people is a serious problem that obstructs democracy in our election process. Giving massive pools of monetary power the ability to endorse a candidate is a profound waste of money and, most importantly, keeps the people from getting what they want. The federal government should finance campaigns, creating a level playing field and giving America the final say.

Make the presidential election process shorter. The media gets too involved in our elections and making the process last for so long gives politicians the time to change their platforms and adjust to target different audiences at different times. This would give the voters a better idea of who they are voting for and prevent the media from altering the general perception of the candidates.
