Reform Electoral College

Created by S.D. on November 09, 2016

The United States Constitution currently does not require states to have a winner-take-all system. For years, voters have been intimidated in states that always vote for the same party. Please sign this petition to propose a proportional system. In the past, the winner-take-all system has been used to avoid a "spoiler vote" or to keep America from making the wrong "choice." However, times have changed with the emergence of media. The 2016 presidential election is not likely to be the last election where a candidate loses the election with a greater popular vote.
