Reform Family courts to make 50/50 custody the norm after divorce

Created by S.P. on February 04, 2015

The family courts in America are removing children from the care of loving parents, and are doing so under the belief that they are doing what is best for children. Every social science study done in the last 40 years shows that kids who get to live with both parents 50/50 do better than kids in sole custody in every measurable way, and yet courts award sole custody in 85% of cases. We need to reform the family courts so that equal time with both parents is considered to be in the best interest of the child, except in cases where the child is in danger of abuse.
