Reform the Federal Income Tax System of the United States

Created by C.B. on January 04, 2015

For the past 30 years, our federal income tax system has rewarded the rich while placing a tough burden on the middle class. Today, the richest 400 Americans own more wealth than the bottom 150,000,000. Productivity is rising rapidly, but middle class wages have stagnated. I propose that we adopt a federal income tax system that rewards the rich for their hard work while also providing economic relief to the middle class. I am proposing an addition of a 70% income tax bracket on incomes higher than 15 million, 60% on incomes higher than 5 million, 50% on incomes higher than $405,100, and a retainment of all other income tax rates. We can invest this revenue into growing small businesses and fixing the educational system to make our economy & our workforce strong and competitive once again
