Reform firearm manufacturing. (Please read for how)

Created by A.M. on December 21, 2012

Reform gun manufacturing standards to include a requirement that all firearm grips include built-in palm-print scanning technology. This technology already exists in multiple forms and uses, and for this purpose can be used satisfactorily to greatly reduce the number of instances in which anyone other than the firearm owner can operate this weapon.

This would reduce the accidental discharges by children, teens and other adults who do not own and are not authorized at the point of sale (requiring a written consent form and proper certification with the owner), and would greatly reduce the capability of criminals being able to effectively operate any such firearm that is stolen.

The Connecticut tragedy has shown us that we need to think outside the box. This should be explored fully.
