Reform the firearms background check process.

Created by L.S. on March 08, 2013

It is my belief that every firearm purchase should require a federal background check. This should apply to all sales weather they be from a public retailer or a private citizen. This should be implemented in the form of a license, much the same as a driver's license. Any individual wishing to express their second amendment right should be required to obtain a license. This license should require a federal background check and a fee, it should also expire after three years. This license should be be presented at all sales, if a gun trade is made without proper license, the individuals or corporation involved should have their rights revoked. This seems to me to be a very minimal restriction that would go a long way to ending the unlawful ownership of guns.
